Thanks Janet! I wasn't aware of that site - but it is in my reader now! :)

Another way Gen Xer's kick butt... we can cross from online to real life without getting lost. Here is an example.

If I start a conversation with a Gen Xer on FaceBook, I can pick it up at any time when we are face-to-face with out ever giving context. The Gen Xer will not get lost, and just continue the conversation like it had been on pause.

Millenials will freak if you do that. Or get really confused.

Recently, I finally decided to figure out just what on earth Ozzy was sying in his song "Crazy Train." Must have been a crazy day at work:) I thought the first few lines were kind of cool, so I posted them as a status update on FB. The teen-age daughter of some friends asked what song it was, and I replied and told her.

I was at a Christmas potluck a few days later, and she was there baby-sitting. So i went up to her and told her I was shocked she didn't know her Ozzy songs. She looked so lost, pointed at her Lennon shirt, and said "no... this is John Lennon..." and walk off with a confused look on her face.

A few minutes later, she darted back in the room "OH!!! FaceBook?!?"
